Happy National Women’s Month
𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡
The UPLB University Library joins the celebration of the 2025 National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC) with the sub-theme “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas”. A series of activities will take place from 01 to 31 March 2025 aimed at fostering a society where all women have equal rights, power, and opportunities.
This year’s NWMC will also feature the inspiring journeys of empowered women from OVCAA, including Dr. Charina Gracia B. Banaay, Dr. April Hope T. Castro, Prof. Margarita Carmen S. Paterno, and Dr. Marion Lux Y. Castro, in “HERstory,” during the Kick-off Program. Their dedication and leadership in academe continue to pave the way for more inclusive and equitable opportunities for all.

𝐊𝐢𝐜𝐤-𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 & 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐄𝐱𝐡𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐭 | Join us for a Ribbon-cutting Ceremony of the Book Exhibit and ”HERstory” at the Main Lobby on 04 March 2025 at 8:00AM. 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐨𝐦 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐥 (#𝐉𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐒𝐚𝐲𝐬) and a 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡 (”𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐧𝐬”) will also be available. 𝐙𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐚 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐊𝐚𝐲 𝐉𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐚 | Get moving with an hour-long Zumba dance party for everyone at the Main Library Facade on 04 March 2025 from 4:00 to 5:00 PM. 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐢𝐬𝐲𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐊𝐚𝐲 𝐉𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐚 | Every Juana who borrows library materials from 01-31 March 2025, will receive a ₱30.00 printing stub. 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐬-𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐬 | Uplifting affirmation and bookmarks will be available at the Main Lobby from 01-31 March 2025. 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐲𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 | Free hygiene supplies available starting 03 March 2025, at the 1st and 2nd Floor Women’s Comfort Room (until supplies last). #𝐏𝐔𝐑𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 | Show your support by wearing any purple every Wednesday of March (March 5, 12, 19, & 26, 2025).We hope that through these activities, we can foster inclusive progress, empower every woman, and ensure that no one is left behind on the path to equal opportunities.
